About Beatrix Burghardt

Beatrix Burghardt is Lecturer and Coordinator of the English Language Instructional Program for matriculated students. She earned her master’s degree in Physics and English language and literature in her native Hungary and has a PhD in TESOL and Applied Linguistics from Indiana University. Beatrix has taught ESL/EFL and Physics in Hungary and in the US for more than 20 years. She regularly provides training workshops for language instructors and language learners, and she actively presents at professional conferences. She is also a Quality Matters certified Peer Reviewer. In 2021, Beatrix Burghardt received IU Bloomington’s Trustees Teaching Award.
