SLST-S 304 LANGUAGE REVITALIZATION (3 CR.)
Two years of foreign/second language study. Half of the 6,000 languages spoken today are endangered. This course explores why languages are at risk and investigates how minority and indigenous languages can be revitalized. Case studies highlight practical solutions currently being used in diverse communities. Students choose a particular endangered language as their focus of study.
