The National Science Foundation has awarded a grant entitled Building a parsed historical corpus to investigate word-order change and variation to the tune of $457,997. The grant awards Professors Rex Sprouse and Christopher D. Sapp for their incredible efforts to construct a parsed corpus High German from 1050 to 1950!
