We offer remote admissions-cycle TEPAIC interviews to assist departments in the spring semester with admissions-related matters. The admissions-cycle TEPAIC interviews are for prospective students only with no option to appeal. This TEPAIC is not intended to be an applicant screening tool. It is for students who have already been admitted by your department and are now seriously being considered for an AI position.
How to Schedule an Admissions Cycle Sessions:
1) Departments may send an approximate number of exam participants to the TEPAIC administrators beginning in December. These should be sent to tepaic@indiana.edu
2) The TEPAIC administrators will send the department dates that we will be conducting the exams and time slots. These appointments will be first come first serve!
3) The Department will confirm dates and times they want and will send a full list of participants with information no later than one week prior to their scheduled exam slot.
4) Once the TEPAIC team has received the authorization list from your department, the TEPAIC team will reach out to our raters to get final confirmation on available testing times.
5) Once testing times have been solidified, the TEPAIC team will send this excel sheet. When you receive it from the TEPAIC team, it will have the available timeslots shown and any that are not available will be blocked out. Also included in the excel sheet will be the Zoom link that you will send to the applicants for testing.
6) Once you've received the Excel sheet, you will work with your applicants to fill out the schedule as it best suits both the applicants' and your department's needs. You will also fill out all the requested information in the columns of the sheet.
7) It is at this point that you would confirm the testing time with your applicants as well as send them their Zoom meeting link.
8) Lastly, you will send the completed excel sheet back to the TEPAIC office. Thereby confirming the schedule and completing the preparations for your admissions cycle TEPAICs. Results will be shared within 2 business days of completion of the last scheduled TEPAIC.
Notes about the Admissions Cycle TEPAIC Exams:
We will not retest candidates except in cases where the Internet signal is visibly bad, and a productive session can not be completed. The judgement on the Internet signal and whether it is an unacceptable testing session lies entirely within the purview of the TEPAIC raters at the session and no one else. Cases where the Internet signal is insufficient to the point where the applicant cannot even join the meeting will only be considered if the student notifies us of the issue before their scheduled testing time. We reserve the right to turn away cases that do not meet these stipulations at our discretion.
*Lack of planning on the student's part is not an acceptable reason to reschedule a TEPAIC. So please urge your applicants to strongly consider the times they list as available.
